Deforestation is clearing Earth's forests on a massive scale, often resulting in damage to the quality of the land. Forests still cover about 30 percent of the world’s land area. Deforestation can also be seen as removal of forests leading to several imbalances ecologically and environmentally. Some predictions state that the rainforests of the world will be destroyed completely if deforestation continues at its current pace.

The world’s rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation. We need to change our habits of consumption and start thinking in the world we currently live. Forests impact our daily lives in more ways than we can imagine. From the air we breathe to the wood human beings are heavily dependent on forests and the products and services they provide for our benefits and for our wealth.
We need to start acting and try to solve this problem here are some solutions
- Curb the felling of trees, by employing a series of rules and laws to govern it
- Clear cutting of forests must be banned
- The cutting must be replaced by planting young trees to replace the older ones that were cut
